We are looking for someone who has strong experience building and managing highly available enterprise grade data and digital platforms in the Google Public Cloud. Someone who has experience in automating infrastructure provisioning and maintenance, creating build and release pipelines to support data engineering and data science teams for their data warehousing and advanced data analytics work.
Responsibilities:
• Administer the public cloud environment (Google Cloud Platform) and assist multiple teams to implement and deliver enterprise quality applications and data solutions.
• Dev Ops engineering for agile delivery acceleration using continuous integration and continuous deployment tools available on Google Cloud and open source. Specifically, Gitlab, Cloud Composer, Apache Airflow, Cloud Dataflow, Dataproc, Jupyter and AI Notebooks.
• Support the tools and infrastructure for build, test, release and monitoring, focusing on developer productivity, release velocity, and product quality.
• Develop automation code to deploy and maintain systems and applications that run and monitor services
• Monitor Build and Release pipelines. Follow up with appropriate teams in a timely manner to resolve issues. Analyze and automate issue detection and mitigation to avoid future occurrence.
• Be part of the security governance team to ensure compliance of industry standards and client security standards and policies.
• Drive towards better product quality through any process improvements.
Background Skills & Experience:
• CI/CD pipeline experience with Gitlab is required (4+ years)
• Strong knowledge/experience with Google Cloud Data Analytics tools (e.g. Composer, Dataflow, Dataproc, BigQuery)
• Strong knowledge/experience with MLOps – end to end pipelines for training, hosting and managing ML models (e.g. Jupyter notebooks, AI Platform notebooks)
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) are essential
• Experience in software development life cycle activities designing, supporting and deploying
