We are seeking a Frontend Software Engineer to help build the next generation web platform using modern, cutting edge technologies for our client. This involves using HTML, CSS, and TypeScript with the Angular framework to create a responsive cohesive, and modern user interface. They manage the continuous integration and continuous deployment using Jenkins and Docker. They use Karma and Jasmine as the main testing frameworks. The Scrum team adheres to Agile methodology including sprint planning/review/grooming/retrospective and daily standups.

Responsibilities

• Follows best practices in UI/UX design
• Follows best practices in unit testing
• Updates documentation on internal wiki for technical communication
• Participates in code reviews and design sessions during Agile process
• Debugs, evaluates, and troubleshoots throughout application development process
• Maintain and operate continuous build, test, and integration pipelines
• Develop thorough understanding of technologies used and demonstrate archetypical patterns for their use

Skills & Requirements

• 3+ years of development experience on a dynamic, interactive Agile team to contributing to all parts of a modern project
• Extensive experience with Angular
• Extensive experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Experience with Karma and Jasmine
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively on a complex system
• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL desired
• Experience with Docker desired
• Ability to work with and coordinate with other developers using digital tools such as Slack, Gmail, and Atlassian’s suite of products (JIRA, Bitbucket)
• Experience with version control tools, such as Git
• Experience working in Linux desired
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• Desire to stay up to date with modern techniques and evolving technologies

This is a full-time permanent employee position with our client.  Although you will not be required to be on-site, they would prefer someone local to the greater Washington DC area.  Our client is located in Montgomery County Maryland.

The Salary for the position will be from $110,000 - $140,000/yr. with solid benefits, based on your level of experience.
