Job Description:

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, secure and tune Azure resources associated with the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).  Resources include Azure Analysis Services (AAS), Event Hub, Synapse SQL Pools, Azure SQL Server, Databricks, DevOps, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Event Hub and Machine Learning (ML). 
• Participate in Proof of Concept (PoC) for Azure Analysis Services (AAS) and Event Hub
• Identify and collect appropriate metrics to monitor performance and maintain availability.
• Resolve technical incidents, and provide root cause analysis, recommending prevention of future occurrences, providing descriptive and timely updates.
• Follow change and incident management processes.
• Automation - Ansible
• Capacity planning
• Cost optimization
• Create and edit documentation, procedures, and architectural diagrams.
• Participate on projects, work with a project team and proactively communicate status to the project manager and delivery manager.
• Share knowledge and mentor QRG staff members.

Qualifications

• Azure Certifications are a plus.
• Experience working in a corporate environment with production systems that process large data volumes.
• Experience working with tight project schedules for installing, monitoring and troubleshooting hardware, software, and applications running highly virtualized and cloud environments.
• Experience implementing global high availability.
• Experience working as part of a global team is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are required.
• Ability to work individually as well as within a team.
• As required, work any shift/extended shift or participate in an on-call support rotation.
