An exciting BioTech start up in Austin, Teas is looking for an experienced Machine Learning Scientist to help enhance the company's analytics and engineering capabilities. The ML Scientist will design and build Algorithms that drive insights through data analysis and visualization. The Algorithms will help transform raw image data, therefore particular experience with one or more of the following areas in necessary: image processing, object detection, computer vision, image segmentation or image classification.

The company focuses on working with cell and bacterial data. Any experience in this space or in Biotech is highly desirable. The Machine Learning Scientist will also help automate various data quality control and testing processes.

Key Qualifications/ Skills

• Masters or PhD in Computational Science, Engineering, Physical Sciences or related field
• 5+ years industry/ full time Machine Learning experience
• Image Processing, Object Detection, Computer Vision, Image Segmentation or Image Classification
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Great Communication skills
